Oaseby 7 Star Lodges
A private reserve just outside Hoedspruit in the Greater Kruger, with easy access to Kruger National Park, the Blyde River Canyon and the Panorama Route.
Oase is located on a 530-hectare private reserve approximately 10 km from Hoedspruit and only a short transfer from Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport (HDS).
One of the biggest advantages of staying at Oase is that you're not choosing between safari and sightseeing. Kruger National Park, the Blyde River Canyon, the Panorama Route and the Drakensberg Escarpment are all within easy reach, allowing you to experience far more of the Lowveld without changing lodges.
We also offer helicopter transfers and scenic flights directly from the lodge.

This is one of the biggest differences between Oase and many safari lodges.
Our reserve is home to leopard, lion, hyena, giraffe, zebra, kudu, wildebeest, waterbuck, eland, warthog and hundreds of bird species, along with many of Africa's smaller nocturnal animals.
We don't pretend to be a traditional Big 5 lodge because we're not.
Instead, we combine an incredibly rich private reserve with full-day safaris into Kruger National Park, giving guests the freedom to experience both worlds during one stay.
It means you don't have to choose between an intimate safari and seeing the Big 5.

Oase was designed differently.
We spent more than twenty years visiting safari lodges before building Oase, and one of the biggest things we wanted to change was giving guests more freedom over how they experience the bush.
That might mean tracking leopard on foot in the morning, spending longer with a sighting, returning later than planned because something incredible happens, or heading out after dinner on a night drive.
Every day is shaped around the experience, not a timetable.

Oase includes guided bush walks, interactive leopard tracking, birding, fishing, cycling through the reserve, moonlight drives, night drives, cooking experiences, wine tastings, gin tastings, bush picnics, private Blyde Dam boat trips, Cinema Oase, Spa Oase and dozens of quieter moments that traditional safari itineraries often don't leave time for.

Couples can choose romantic suites with outdoor showers and private pools, while families have spacious multi-bedroom accommodation with shared living areas and private outdoor space.

The lodge operates off-grid using solar energy and carefully manages water across the property.
The reserve protects river frontage, woodland, scrubland and riverine forest while supporting ongoing wildlife, veld and habitat management.
