More than two decades. Hundreds of lodge and a lifetime of extraordinary experiences as safari guests. Oase is everything those years taught us, and everything we wished could be done differently.

Before we were lodge owners
We were safari guests first.
We first came to Africa in the early 2000s. Then we came back the following year. Soon it was quarterly, and eventually almost monthly.
Over more than twenty years, we experienced hundreds of safari lodges across Southern and East Africa — from simple walking camps with short-drop toilets to some of the continent's most celebrated luxury lodges.
We saw what worked. We saw what didn't. More importantly, we experienced it all from the same side of the safari that you will — as guests.
Oase is the result of those years.

How long should you stay?
Two nights can show you safari. Five nights lets you experience it.
At a traditional safari lodge, two or three nights can be enough. Morning drive. Afternoon drive. Repeat. You can often see what you came to see surprisingly quickly.
Oase was deliberately designed differently.
Safari here is only part of the experience. Walk. Track leopard. Spend a full day exploring Kruger. Take a night drive. Have a picnic beside the river. Cook with our chefs. Visit the canyon. Enjoy the spa. Or simply spend an afternoon doing absolutely nothing.
You'll have a wonderful stay in two or three nights. But with five or more, something changes — you stop trying to fit everything in and start experiencing Oase the way it was intended.
